ASSI VISIT A team of five personnel from Air Safety Support International will arrive at St Helena on Sunday 10 April 2016. IMPLEMENTATION FLIGHT Following the completion of ASSI’s planned activities next week, it is anticipated that Comair will then operate an Implementation Flight to the Island in a Boeing 737-800 aircraft in preparation for the commencement of scheduled air services.

The formal audits for certification of St Helena Airport will begin on 31 October 2015. This is a critical stage, when the Airport, associated infrastructure and personnel need to demonstrate compliance with the standards for airport safety and security mandated in the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTARs).

The Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft which will carry out calibration test flights at St Helena is now on her way from Namibe, Angola, and is due to arrive at St Helena Airport at around 1.30 to 2pm local time. The aircraft departed Angola at approximately 9.15am GMT this morning.
